The Online Academy for Jewish Studies

Check our up-coming courses due to take place between February 15, 2010 and June 4, 2010.

Our main objective is to assist teachers, educators and leaders as well as staff members and students in universities and colleges, who are interested in the fields of didactics and the pedagogy of teaching Jewish studies, to be more scholarly and better teachers.

The array of courses offered in this framework will enable the participants to become much more knowledgeable in Jewish studies and/or become experts in teaching Judaic studies. At present a small number of courses (from within the those being developed) are open to the public. Within this upcoming year the full array of courses will be completed.

The framework allows the completion of single courses or full programs, and grants certificates accordingly. On the completion of a full program (8 courses: 6 mandatory and 2 Enrichment courses, which are the equivalent of 224 study hours) the student is entitled for a specialization certificate in the didactics of the topic he or she studied, from The MOFET Institute's Online Academy.

The programs are all approved and supervised by the Israeli Ministry of Education, and are also recognized for accreditation in many colleges of education in Israel (click here for the full list).

The courses are also recognized for the accumulation of remuneration (GMUL) according to the regulations of the personal track, as published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Participants who are interested in applying should fill out the following form and send it to: simone@macam.ac.il.
